The old covenant was impossible to keep. The terms we set for ourselves to "be a good person" are never met. Then Jesus comes, he establishes a new covenant with the Father, he ratifies it in his blood, God approves it with the empty tomb, and he gives us the benefits in this Holy Supper. Here, in this covenant you know God and it changes your life.
Since the glorious crown of Christ is our imperishable prize, we will train with purpose and travel by faith so that we will not lose his prize.
